The purpose of the Legal/ Political Action Committee is to set up mechanisms that allow our organization to identify potential legislative issues that will affect our members negatively and alert our members so that they can react accordingly. The Committee should also identify potential legislation that is good for our community and devise plans to get the legislation introduced into the correct legislative body and then supported by our members in an effort to get the legislation passed
